Women rise, for now is your time
So many men in their courting rituals
facing their actions,
and gaining attention
A wise one once told me
it all begins with the mothers
and I had to balk at that
thinking the blame was sorely misplaced
Yet when I think a bit deeper on that
I realize if women were to rise
and say no more
perchance they would teach men
how to treat them
It is time to re-evaluate
the needs of boys to men
we need to teach them
how to protect
and the only way to do that
is to reject their objectification
of our daughters
and most importantly
it starts with us

Not to shift burden from men to act right, and be honorable fathers and men, but somewhere along the way, they were influenced by what women would allow them to get away with.
