I’m living my own life of punishment

As I repeat behaviors in the moment unaware

Have I been so bad that

My life will torment me

I pray this not be true

Do I cause my own misery in

Selfishness and self pity

Yet, pity me not

I just introspect!

A rationalization too cloaked in seeking to be altruistic…another self aggrandization that needs the Boot!
